What’s been happening:

I moved to St. John's in October 2006. Since that time I have been gaining invaluable forecasting experience. I forecast for a diverse array of sectors, including RWIS (Road Weather Information System) energy, marine forecasting, fire weather, and media. Living in Newfoundland has proved to be a unique experience. I've seen some very impressive blizzards since moving here; my first winter we had 3 feet of snow on the ground by March! In the late summer months, we are also occasionally victims of tropical storm remnants as well! In addition to the weather, the province has a rich history, along with many geographic/natural wonders (including icebergs, whales, and rugged coastline). And the people here are extremely friendly and easy-going. I feel very lucky to be able to work here; it'll be an unforgettable experience!
